Leaders in India are known for making ridiculous statements without logic. The BJP leaders are at the forefront. India’s finance minister is no exception. In the last few months, Nirmala Sitharaman, the finance minister of India, has made such ridiculous statements. Let’s look at her intelligence.
- Last year during the Lok Sabha’s Winter session, Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the high onion prices didn’t affect her as she and her family don’t eat onions. Her reply came when an opposition leader raised his voice against high prices of onion while she was speaking about the same issue. Yes, that reply came from our finance minister. You must be thinking about what logic it is to defend their failed policies but that is what she said. Members had a good time with her statement after that. The high onion prices made us cry but the memes made on her at least made us laugh making it an even situation.
- Last year the automobile industry was observing big depression. It was among the most adversely affected sector due to economic downfall. While explaining this depression in the automobile sector, finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that Millennials are responsible for the bad situation of the automobile industry. She said millennials are preferring radio taxis like Ola-Uber instead of buying their own vehicle. She was supposed to blame Nehru for it but millennials replaced him. Millennials, how you guys managed to bring down a whole big sector like an automobile?
- While talking about the ban that was imposed on only E-cigarettes, FM Nirmala Sitharaman said E-cigarettes contain nicotine and they are injurious to health. Why there was no ban on cigarettes? Doesn’t cigarette contain nicotine in it? We are yet to get answers to these questions from our FM.
- The last chapter in the book ‘Logics from Mars’ by Nirmala Sitharaman is about God. You heard it right. After blaming Nehru & Millennials she found a new addition to the blame-list. On being asked why the government hasn’t arranged funds to pay the GST dues to the states, Nirmala Sitharaman said this year we are facing a contraction in the economy which is an act of God. Yes, she called the corona pandemic an act of God. We too are still wondering why on earth she became finance minister and how?
Nirmala Sitharaman is surely the weakest finance minister we ever had. We are observing the biggest downfall in the economy because of her and her blunt policies. If she continues to do the same, then only an ‘Act of God’ can save us.
